Super interesting. It says it will be introduced to the market in 2017. I wonder if they'll waiting to see how other developments like Realm and Frome which also have luxury accommodation pan out before introducing this proposal.
If that is the case, Realm and Frome could seriously be considered the "gateway drug" to larger buildings in the future.

Hopefully this turns into reality, I'll be sure not to make a sensational adelaide banner from the renders this time. We've had a tendency to jinx projects that have made it on the banner (spire, glass tower, casino).

On a more appropriate note, I always go by the Hong Kong example where the airport is literally surrounded by 80m highrise buildings. If they can get approved, this should have no trouble.

I've always wondered why the airport height guidelines were so strict for Adelaide compared to other cities with similarly located airports/flight paths.

Would love to see this one (and a few others like it) get up.

On one hand I'd love to see this happen. On the other having a tower one hundred metres taller than our next highest won't make the best skyline, but that's biting the hand that feeds you, so I'm happy to sit back and watch where this goes. Heck maybe it'll run out of money at 190m and will be for years an iconic Australian building, the unfinished skyscraper. As long as construction and use of it goes smoothly, there are many more upsides than downsides to having such a big stick.

More like a conventional building that has an eternally jagged, unfinished top. Besides, I'm not serious in wanting or thinking the building won't be completed. If on the slim chance it isn't, we might as well make a tourist sight out of it.

I certainly wouldn't want something like that in our city
