Awful, but must confess to a slight thrill at hearing Geri and Dawn French say ADELAIDE.

I notice some people complaining that there are no major cinemas in Adelaide. Out of interest, here's what was available between around 9 and 10 tonight when we were considering it. (A dash indicates an exclusive movie at that time.)

Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas, Adelaide
-A Gun In Each Hand
Before Midnight
Man of Steel 3D
-Much Ado About Nothing
-Mud
Only God Forgives
Pacific Rim 3D
The Heat
The Lone Ranger
This Is The End
World War Z

Event Cinemas Megaplex, Marion
-After Earth
Before Midnight
-D-Day
-Despicable Me 2
-Fast & Furious 6
Man of Steel 3D
-Maryan
Only God Forgives
Pacific Rim 3D
-The Conjuring
-The Great Gatsby
-The Hangover Part III
The Heat
-The Internship
The Lone Ranger
This Is The End
World War Z 3D

A few older movies still showing at Marion, but aren't they supposed to have 30 screens? Kids' moves seem to start earlier at Palace/Nova.

Also the IMAX cinema is still there in Rundle Street, it's just been purposed as a regular cinema (the 1970's IMAX tech has been removed.)

That ad isn't seriously on air, is it?

So channel 9 loves Adelaide? How about some more stories on the nationally produced morning shows about Adelaide. I'm sick of weather crosses to the opening of an envelope in Sydney and Melbourne, or the "oh Melbournians are dying in the streets because it has hit 35C for 2 days running! A 40C plus 7 day heatwave in Adelaide?... well that's normal, those folk live over there on the edge of the desert, and don't you know all that heat ends up in Melbourne?.. no need to mention Adelaide except to say, that's where Melbourne weather comes from, let alone a live cross. Something internationally renowned happening in Adelaide?, oh but here in Sydney some B grade rock star is smoking pot in his hotel, so better keep our reporters here...

It's a pity the Squatters Arms isn't heritage listed...

I just laugh at the fact that everyone in that video had to sit there and repeat the same thing over and over just with a different cities name each time.

If Channel 9's YouTube account is anything to go by, they actually only did it for Adelaide.

Mr Maras said : "Adelaide had too many blank concrete walls!"

All I have to say for that comment is :applause:

I must try burger theory, apparently it's the best burger ever created!

Apologies to those at channel 9. The morning show weather has crossed from Adelaide this week. Now maybe we can have Koshie crossing from Alberton on Chanel 7, sometime soon.

Also, I'm looking forward to the burger war between Burger Theory & Fancy Burger's on Synagogue Place

FB is ok, but not amazing. So far the only one I've found that can take the competition to Burger Theory is Nordburger on The Parade (opened a few weeks ago). Haven't tried any of the ones on O'Connell St though (Burgerstronomy & Chuck Wagon)
Nordburger is quite good, but you'll have a much better experience at Chuck Wagon. The guys there are lovely, with burgers to match. Bump it up the to-do list
