Such a funny paradox of land uses. Land values are obviously high enough to justify a multi level car park here, but literally just across the road you have ttp, which is surrounded by acres of open air parking.

The development at the hospital is of cancer and mental health facilities https://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/wps/wcm/ ... evelopment. Included in this is also a 300 space multi-storey carpark for staff and some patient access.

The TTP carpark is for the shopping complex and last year parking restrictions were imposed to deter long stay park n ride with the adjacent OBahn. OBahn related carparks have been constructed in recent years.

I know, my point was more that land values and the space premium here are obviously at a point where multi-level parking is justified, hence the construction of the multi level parking at the hospital and also at the park and ride. Yet Westfield owns acres of land in the same location which is massively under-utilised relative to its value - open air parking.

Isn't this site 15-19 Halifax St? Cafe #12 seems to be thriving across the road.

Wasn't the jib lifted into place on Saturday? When I left after 7pm, the weight of the jib was transferred to 2 thick wire stays to the top of the A-frame, which allowed the telescopic crane to detach from the jib and retract.

I assume part of the work on Sunday was to couple the pair of rod stay assemblies on the jib to the luffing pulley sheaves which had been attached on Saturday to the apex of the A-frame. On Sunday at 4pm, the mobile crane had disappeared and Halifax St was opened to westbound traffic.

Surprising crane at st aloysious. It’s only a 5 level project so I wasn’t expecting it.

We’re very close to our all time record number of cranes. With this, 399 kin William, the unley road project and corner of angas and frome we will probably exceed it in coming months.
