I dont mind it either. Quite nice and subtle, and nor is it boring!

Just want to see this site developed instead of its current state.

I hate it. Looks like it should belong in Mawson Lakes, not the CBD.

I think for everyone looking for a way out design might have to brace themselves for a bit. Development will be all about economy, maximising floor plates, and ROI not creating architectural masterpieces in the current economic climate. This is by no means my favourite but its a great improvement on nothing and fits in with it surroundings.

So basically maintaining the status quo of the last 15 years then (with the exception of the odd government or university building). Yay.

The only thing I like baout this proposal is the ground floor retail tenancies. This site deserves more than 6 levels. On top of this it could be taking away from a larger building if a tenant wanting the whole 6 levels moves here.

thankfully as someone else said I think this is an old proposal as the land was just for sale.

At 29 metres it looks more like 8 levels. The ground and first level or mezzanine with 6 on top.

No offence to anyone on here, but I hardly think you're in a position to be picky. This site has been vacant for years; would you rather something decent go there or sit empty for many more over-ambitious high-rise development proposals? It's 29m and quite sleek looking, it's not going to get any higher and really whilst that side of the CBD remains quite low/mid-rise, it really doesn't have to be any higher. Try looking at some of the pros rather than the cons.

I think it's good to see people up in arms about developments in the city regardless of our economic position. We shouldn't settle for mediocrity. Development for the sake of development isn't the answer to revitalising the city. Debate is a good thing.

Such a prime site, on the main street of the city, yet just 6 levels? What year is this again? Are we really that desperate? :sly:

So I can sign you up to a lease pre-commitment for 30 floors then? (I'm going to love this finder's fee!)
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

The problem I have is the location, not the height. :) If this was to be built on Angas/Sturt street, I wouldn't mind.

Its a year following the GFC. Deal with it and lower your expectations slightly, and yes, any decent development at this stage is good development. Im happy that this block will finally be built upon.

It's been a bit more than a year from the GFC.

It's been five years now. I don't accept the GFC as an excuse anymore.
