The board inside Adelaide Railway Station has been updated with the latest renders, some of which show more detail that we haven't yet seen.

I am all for this development but that office tower in this location is an absolute disgrace. They should call it the 30 pieces of silver tower. The govt should have had more backbone and refused Walkers money if this was the trade-off & eye-sore legacy for generations to come.

Spotted workmen around the northern perimeter of the Festival Centre this morning. Looks like work is about to get underway on the new promenade.

Are you sure they weren't there to start setting up for the tour down under?

No, it looks like it's for the Festival Centre upgrade.

There was quite a bit of activity this morning with parts of the building now barricaded off.

Bit disappointed about having to walk around to KWS to get to Adelaide Oval on Monday night, but at least something's going on here.

Was that the cricket with the Strikers? What a huge noise level was going on. I have been watching attendances to the big bash games in all states - there were 43000 at that one, 30000 at the one before in Melbourne. It seems attendances in Adelaide are almost always disproportionately higher given our population in comparison to other cities.

To me it says the planners have a winner here given the bridge, the casino, the railway and tram access, the riverbank development and proximity to the city. Others are watching this very closely.

ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE

They've all been done to death and are now cringeworthy.

Anyway - how is this one getting on?

Have they knocked the front out of the Festival Centre yet?

Part of the northern exterior of the Festival Centre has now been fenced off, with site works imminent now. I saw a couple of bobcats this morning

The Festival Centre bridge has been removed, while demolition is continuing of the current Festival Drive set up.

Perhaps one of the most short lived bridges (and public space redevelopments) in Australia.
