Why not a semi-express bus route that runs through Two Wells, Riverlea Park and Virginia like a normal bus route but then jumping on the Connector non stop (with a possible stop at a new Park and Ride in Bolivar) to Port Road?
It could stop at the Entertainment Centre connecting to trams, or head into the city.

Probably because not everyone works in the CBD. The census next year will shed some light where people in Riverlea work and help inform planning.

Not a bad idea...definitely would be interesting to trial and likely quite quick, even at peak hour.neoballmon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 12:25 amWhy not a semi-express bus route that runs through Two Wells, Riverlea Park and Virginia like a normal bus route but then jumping on the Connector non stop (with a possible stop at a new Park and Ride in Bolivar) to Port Road?

In morning peak time, the queue for the traffic lights at Port Road extends into the Motorway Trench, sometimes back as far as before the road descends. It would be challenging for the bus to keep to schedule, but as there would only be dropoff stops past there, it would really only be an issue for the next journey scheduled for that bus.Modbury_Man wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 8:55 pmNot a bad idea...definitely would be interesting to trial and likely quite quick, even at peak hour.neoballmon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 12:25 amWhy not a semi-express bus route that runs through Two Wells, Riverlea Park and Virginia like a normal bus route but then jumping on the Connector non stop (with a possible stop at a new Park and Ride in Bolivar) to Port Road?

This is the most sensible solution for providing public transport if the assumption that urban sprawl is all about CBD workers. Buses to Port Adelaide-Osborne, Angle Vale-Riverbanks College-Gawler and Two Wells-Dublin also look sensible as well as evening and weekend services if an objective is to remove car dependence.
