Whether or not it is purely for advertising I seriously don't mind.
If you are thinking of having a big screen for events broadcasting, it is in the wrong place to begin with. City Cross needs to generate income out of this screen to keep it running and cover the cost, the only thing I can think of in order to achieve this is, via advertising. So I wouldn't really be surprised if they did and I really wouldn't care.

Is that a heritage façade behind CX? I never knew this, I thought they just demolished whatever was there and rebuilt a bland and uninspired white shoebox.

Does anyone know the actual size of this? Would be good on old MLC bldg or opposite corner to Rundle car park. Still, good to see this in Adelaide. Great to see more light on Adelaide buildings - in desperate need of more lighting on bldgs - eg neons, led's, Northern lights.

There are multiple screens like this one in melbourne.
There is one on the way to St Kilda and one in Caulfield, i think there is one in the city as well.
They mostly screen adds, over time i find that i don't look at them...I guess they adda bit of colour to the streetscape, but nothing more than that..

Great to see you back again Stelaris - have missed your input on the site. I'm impressed with this as for reasons said before - the CBD needs more light and life - in this case variable light. When I lived in Adelaide KWS appeared like a dark canyon at night after about 9.00 (mid 1980's)

Get a projector - It will be cheaper, will most probably use less power, and will have higher resolution than a LED screen.

Yes, the original buildings still exist along the Rundle Mall end of City Cross. They were also exposed in the refurbishment about three years ago.

Yeah i agree, it's always great hearing from you mate.
Say we should create a home renovation thread, there's a few of us on the forums all doing renos at the moment. It'd be good to get some before/after/progress shots... mines only a small reno i'm planning to the kitchen. Yarwood's doing a baby room. Al just finished his kitchen/dining room.
