It sure is disappointing but I just couldn't get over the fact that all of those lovely north facing apartments would look out at 19 North Tce. It would have to play havoc with the feasibility wouldn't it?

I've longed wished someone would buy up North Terrace House and Romilly House, and do a full gutting and restoration of both into a single complex. Something similar to the (now closed) Claska Hotel in Tokyo which overhauled the old Hotel Meguro.
An apartment at 19 Nth Tce was up for sale last year (not sure if it sold or not?). The views are A-MAZING. Botanic Gardens out one side, the Hills out the other. I had no idea there were even residences in there.

This pocket of Kent Town/Hackney has so much potential. A hotel here would be well located for people coming for the car race, fringe/festival or for those wanting somewhere quieter than the CBD. Good stuff.

The quality of interiors here surprise me given the building on the outside looks like a piece of shit!

This is on next week’s SCAP meeting agenda, with building levels revised to 17 and 18 levels.

The eastern building is called 'Hills Tower' and is 56.2m / 16 levels, the western building is called 'City Tower' and is 59.5m / 17 levels. The design looks pretty average more-so than before despite the application saying that only the podium was redesigned despite the increase in height...
