See, now these are the sorts of things I would have liked to have seen in the Rundle Mall upgrade; raised planter boxes built from sandstone. Seeing as the Adelaide foothills were quarried for sandstone throughout European early settlement, I'm not sure city planners instead have opted to lather Adelaide's streetscapes with bluestone-esque paving which is often associated with Melbourne street-scapes.

Perspective is a funny thing, that makes Sofitel look way taller than it actually is. Considering the university medical buildings are 72m tall and this is only 45m taller but they look far smaller.
