Hadn't spotted the "open the door" branding on that clip until now.

I will be intrigued to see how the government plans to link the new hospital to the Torrens as a part of the new Riverbank masterplan.
Another point worthy of mention is the importance of the Botanic Gardens in the psychological health and rehabilitation of current patients at the RAH. Perhaps the new masterplan for Bonython Park will focus on this aspect, given that the new hospital will lose this in its transition to the West End.

But doesn't the New RAH have an old Gaol and Police Barracks between it and Bonython Park? Not exactly the same as the existing RAH and Botanic Gardens. Also what about the railway system that runs adjacent to the New RAH? The only way to get over that to Bonython Park is across the bridge on Port Road near the Police Barracks that I can see?

I agree with you though, I'd be interested to see what the plan is.

Would be great if the tracks between the new RAH and the river could be covered by some sort of public plaza, stepping down to the riverbank. There should be better use of the old gaol as well to attract people to that end, maybe an interactive history of crime and punishment museum.

One of the proposed pathways in the Riverbank Masterplan has a pedestrian bridge over the rail-yards connecting the gaol, the hospital, and the river.

Love to see a new children's hospital and child health research centre between the new RAH and the old jail or between the Hospital and the river to cover the rail tracks. Would be the icing on the cake!

I think there will be an massive organized guided tour when it opens!
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

Wouldn't it we great if there was a public observation spot. Its a shocking driving hazard for me. I need to catch a bus or train to get a better look.

I was hoping for something a little higher but that's a good start.
