Agree, the Adelaide skyline lacks well lit buildings at night, although it definitely has improved in recent years. If this building is well lit with LED lighting, it has the potential to look absolutely spectacular.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 2:00 pmDefinitely light it up though in some way Micbara, maybe like the Effiel Tower perhaps?MicBara wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 11:43 amHaha, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!1NEEDS2POST wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 9:43 pm
Can you please put something like this on the building?
But seriously, there is some thought to how we deliver exciting experiences and embed them in the design rather than bolt them in afterwards.
I might be getting ahead of myself with that suggestion, but god wouldn't it just look incredible.

I'll only get excited once I see a crane or two installed

But seriously, we're working on something that gets the balance right and is interactive - letting the City know when Adelaide United scores a goal is one of my objectives.

Love it. Maybe a neon "sha-la-la-la-la-la-la A U F C" sign

I am starting to see several people close to the project on LinkedIn posting photos and posts about this development.
The height has increased to 187m and, from my understanding, is very close to being submitted to SCAP.

This was expected as it's the maximum allowed height in that part of the CBD. Also knowing the approximate final height of the 207 Pulteney Street development the masons want to be number one.

Whats great about this maximized height is that it will serve a a benchmark for future projects of this scale

This has also been identified as the home of the Adelaide Museum of South Australia’s History

If both this and Pulteney Street go up it's gonna be a great competition watching them race up.

We've had the practice run with Adeladean/Realm, now time for the big guns to go up.
Masonic and Pulteney will have such a huge positive impact on the CBD.

I feel like Pulteney is a little further ahead than Masonic, I wish there was a 10 year timelapse of Adelaide's skyline. A lecturer from interstate even noticed how much things are changing here.

According to InDaily it's one of two options:
https://indaily.com.au/news/local/2022/ ... m-concept/Mackie told InDaily in April that the History Trust was considering moving into the the Freemasons Hall as one two potential new homes.
The existing Masonic and James Stuart exhibitions are actually worth a quick look if you're passing. I had a meeting in the building a while back and got sidetracked on my way out - I found the Stuart stuff quite interesting in particular but I've always had a passing interest in the colonial exploration of Australia (devastating impact to existing communities acknowledged).
