Yep. It'll have to be a very
very skinny 16 storey building. The site is only 7.87m wide.

That is absolutely tiny. It would also guarantee a blank east facing wall since there is no space for a setback from the neighbouring block.

To be honest, I'm surprised SA Health's chest, respiratory and sexual health clinics are still at the adjoining 275 North Terrace. I'd expect them to heading to the West End sooner or later, opening up a much bigger site for development.
Either way, good to see this city gateway site start to look more urban.

by how good is he
This will be an incredibly tough site to build on...I know people that looked at it and even simple things like where to put the lift core, where to put the crane, receive deliveries [ie from semi trailers for tilt up panels], store equipment etc were all very challenging. I would also expect all the site offices, workers toilets/lunchroom etc etc all off site.

This site is better off being used as a pocket park, where you could station a couple of food vans, some tables and chairs and nice trees.

Almost certainly, but who's going to pay for that?

This could turn out great. The tiny size of the site will mean the architects at the very least will need to be somewhat creative with their design.

ok, so I have no idea how these things are negotiated, but I can't imagine this can be built without using space on the sidewalk and Frome street to stage things.
So if that thing is under construction and the student housing tower on the opposite side of the street as well, is there anything left of Frome street for traffic to pass through..... ???

I'm looking forward to seeing what's proposed here. I've been eyeing off this block for years as I used to work nearby! The building to the east of this block is prime for a multistorey development too.

It’s a 55 metre precast concrete wall to spite Samaras across the road.

Well I'm surprised that the developer didn't wait for the neighbouring block to hit the market before they did anything with this site.

Ready for a blank eastern side right on the property boundary

Walked passed the site today. Its insane. A decent sized people mover only just fits in the parking spaces that are there already. Surely there are regulations on how narrow a residential site can be? Unless my calculations are wrong, having a 35cm deep window frame on each side will take up will take up almost 10% of that width..
