Re: M1 South-Eastern Freeway

After how much money has been fixing the South Eastern Freeway , whereas how much of that money could be put in to upgrading road between Murray Bridge and Truro or a southern bypass (the B34) the descent of Willunga Hill (Victor Harbor Road) wouldn't be perfect but at least a runaway truck would cr...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

Commercial Road could be made more pedestrian friendly. Reduce the vehicle lanes, lower speed limit to 40 in between the viaduct and the wharf, a scramble crossing by Port Adelaide Plaza, Dale Street intersection and St Vincent Street intersection. Improve street lighting too.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Rather than build new areas in outskirts of Adelaide I think we need to build up and encourage people to live in regional cities instead , for example Murray Bridge and Wallaroo.

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

If a TOD is built at around the Smithfield station they might want to grade seperate Anderson Walk and widen Anderson Walk. Extending Davoren Road to Main North Road/Uley Road intersection would also provide an alternative east-west link to Curtis Road.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

To be honest, I cannot see a business case for urban rail to Virginia and Riverlea ever stacking up, despite being quite a large potential catchment area (40,000+ people). It would be an extension of about 16-17km which you would need to double-track to join it to the existing Gawler line. This is ...

Re: Cedar Woods Glenside

Suburbs within 10-12kms of the CBD are ideal for high density developments. Widen main roads such as Main North Road and Glen Osmond Road to allow a tramline. The A8 is the major link between Adelaide and Melbourne, Glen Osmond Road is the gateway, it should be more welcoming to visiting tourists, g...

Demolition for the Marion/Cross Road overpasses is continuing, with the old service station on the corner of Marion/Cross being knocked down this afternoon. A number of houses to the North of the tram between Marion/Cross have been fenced off
Why would that site need demolishing ?

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

Maybe build a ferry wharf and ferry could run from St Kilda to Port Adelaide. It'll be then a short train ride from the new Port Dock Station to Adelaide. You could have bus from Riverlea to St Kilda and vice versa.

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m

It was foolish and short sighted of Government to think they can build the Northern Expressway and not widen main roads feeding to and from it.
