Me too. It must have been logistically difficult. Why else would you block out views of the hills in all but the pods on the southern façade in favour of having no views on a façade that you couldn’t get views from even if you wanted to?Ben wrote:I never understood why the core wasn't where the blank wall of CC1 was.

Could you imagine how awesome both tower 1 & 2 would have been if they were clad in the same double glazed silver facade as the pods on CC2?? Would have been schmick as.

Anyone know if there gonna put back the old count down timer for special events that used to be on the old advertiser building?

You would really hope they don't put that back considering it was originally put in place for the countdown to the year 2000 and then stayed in place for other events for five years!!!aceman wrote: Anyone know if there gonna put back the old count down timer for special events that used to be on the old advertiser building?

That frightful concrete core is still there for all to see, too.

Very close to completion now. We should see some signage on it soon. All the floors were lit up last night and it looked great (lights are still on inside today). The top 3 floors for Ernst and Young have been fitted out and have furnture in them. The 2 floors below have not been fitted out and the floors below are fitted out with no furniture yet as yet. Its a shame, at its streetscape view (eastern and northern sides) it is very pictureseque, but is sadly is let down by its skyline view (from the southern side) with the awful concrete and protruding boxes.
