Good stuff.
Great to see both Morphett and Waymouth Streets continue to develop more.

Price tag seems a bit small?

I noticed that also, fair to say that the building will be fairly thin. The 15 level building proposed
for Franklin street has a price tag of $10 million, so I would think it would be possible to do
22 levels for $16 million.

The price is probably just for the base building, without all the fit out required for a hotel.
Will be interesting to see some renders of the development. I can't see any details on the DAC website yet? Is there any other details available?

I found that info. under the developments section on the ACC website. There's nothing on the DAC website at this stage.

Cool pics.
It's a little too narrow for me, but I like the architecture of it in the renders... Of course renders =/= final product, but still it looks good!

Looks like a very simplistic, timeless design. Looking forward to this and Palladium both going up. Light Square will be a very different place in a few years time.

Just makes me laugh to think only a few years ago the ACC rejected the building on the corner because it was going to "tower" of the square at 13 stories and made the developer reduce it to only 8. They must be having a heart attack with all these "towers" being approved and they can't stop them. Adelaide is turning into a dense modern city how terrible...

Another hotel, that brings the count to nearly 10.
I wonder if they have an operator.

Another hotel?
I recognise this city has the demand for hotels, but the hotel market is gradually becoming saturated... Can't this have been apartments or something of the sort?
That being said, a hotel in a building of this size would suite a brand like Hyatt...

It looks similar to a lot of Oaks hotels in Melbourne and Sydney.

There's reference to this being another modular design in the application documents i.e. similar to the approved Lester Hotel on West Terrace.
Therefore if it goes ahead it will go up quickly. Will really stand out at this end of town too. Good to see some height developing around Light Square.

Interesting to note that in 2-3 years time we will have nearly double the number of good quality hotels
in Adelaide. We now have approximately 10 good hotels and it looks like we will get another 10
over the next few years.
