Sure some thread titles needed some tweaking but sticking so many threads is just overkill. Many of which aren't important topics and are lucky to have just one project annually.
Hi Crawf.

Thanks for raising your concerns. Can you clarify which threads you are referring to that were stickied? 've gone through so many changes and amaendments my brain's in a bit of a mush.

Happy to recieve any other feedback and suggestions which you may have.

I noticed you've unsticky a couple of threads in the regional section since my post, though the old layout was just fine and easy to navigate (same with the metro section). What's so important about Victor Harbor and Whyalla?, Mt Gambier for example is undergoing greater changes at the moment and is the second largest city in SA.

BTW I don't mind if you unsticky my regional guide thread, it's very much outdated now and I don't have the time nor the effort anymore to continue updating it.

Thanks for your feedback, Crawf. I've unstickied the new stickies and left the original stickies stickied. I'll leave that to Howie to make a call on what should and shouldn't be stickied. That's a bit of a tongue-twisting sentence there. :P

As for the new Regional Development section, I've grouped development and discussion topics by regional geography. I think it's fair that Whyalla and Victor Harbor have their own threads, because as you said, Mount Gambier is the 2nd largest city in SA. Whyalla is the 3rd largest city, and Victor Harbor is, in my opinion, South Australia's second most important city after Adelaide. The population swells to 80,000 - 90,000 during the holiday periods and with that, Victor Harbor carries a lot of responsibility in the scheme of development and infrastructure to cater for those people. Conclusively, they should warrant threads of their own.

Crawf, and other forum members, please do not hesitate to continue to provide feedback, thoughts and opinions on the new 'tidy-up'. :D

Shuz currently has thread editing turned on, he often volunteers to clean up the threads (splits, merge, title changes) every year or so.

How pathetic, especially from the supposedly 'pro-business' liberal party.

Making Adelaide a vibrant place to live should not become a partisan issue, as it is in all of our interests. We cannot afford to lose our young people interstate and overseas. The young people of today do not want to live in a laid back, 'big country town'.

Can't say I've been a fan of hers from the beginning. And after reading that I hope she loses her seat in the 2014 election.

What this Labor Government has done to the city in recent times, will be treasured in the future and make Adelaide a much better capital city.

I would definetly bet on Rachel losing her seat at the 2014 state election.

yes, but outside a few interested people, how many SA voters will be voting on the back of raised height limits?

Bingo. At worst she might alienate a few people while gaining up to several hundred extra votes. Gotta love democracy.

I should scan in her check a box "survey" too. It's a list of about 6 common, but bollocks, hot button gripes.

Politics for the lowest common denominator. Makes me a sad panda.

speaking of beer gardens, how long has that new bar - Curious Squire, been open for on O'Connell Street. Looks good and busy and a great location, especially when the Adelaide Oval is done. Weent past today and had no idea this place existed. Even that podium from the previous restaurant is still there, nice spot to look over the city skyline

Just out of curiosity, where is this Curious Square you speak of? I've never noticed such place before.

It's at the southern end of O'Connell St, where Sparrow was. As far as I know, it's only been open a week or two, their website is still only an 'opening soon' page (http://thecurioussquire.com.au).
There's a brief review of it here: http://thethousands.com.au/adelaide/eat ... ous-squire
