Fair points but

if I was a rich man (preferably with a monocle) and they sold me on that view, I would be fairly frustrated that they couldn’t deliver. The fact that they included the views as a benefit is bad.
On another note, with PAN-OPS, I remember reading that the height of Westpac gives way to tall (but not taller) developments in immediate surrounding of the building when taking in consideration to proposals. It was something along the lines of shadowing and Sofitel’s height was approved partly due to that reason.
In this development, would that be the same? Could we see taller proposals in this area because of this development paving a way?

From my understanding there's no prescribed height limit on the development site, but there is along Rundle Street? I could be wrong...

Defintely OLS. It's got to do with 'conical' surfacing, which means that any building or development within the shadow of a building that has the aircraft equipment on top can be built up to a certain limit.

This is Adelaide, not Melbourne or Parramatta. Bring picturesque is our selling point.
Everyone has a right to a view.
Trolling?
cheers,

Look how much Dwell is already changing the skyline... and it's only 75m tall. Great photo Prodigal, it really puts everything into perspective. And when you pan the camera slightly to the right, you'd see two more fairly big building sites too.

You have
got to take weekly pictures of Realm and Adelaidean, should they go up around the same time, and make a timelapse at the end.

What's more impressive is that this north-east cluster, the southern cluster around KW St/South Tce and the CBD core proper each taken on their own essentially form 3 distinct skylines for Adelaide!

Absolutely. One representing 70s/80s era architecture, another representing brown themed architecture and the other representing communist/commission flat style architecture.

Yawn, take it to an appropriate thread unless you think the Adelaidean is any of those three.

Sure there are 1 or 2 questionables but, in reality, there are some fantastic developments in the works right now that are literally changing the face of Adelaide for the better. The Adelaidean, Realm and Flinders developments just to name a few.
The positives far far farrrrrr outweigh the negatives.

Piling has finished.
Hopefully crane in the next month or they might wait to use the one from Dwell.
