Yes, because this is a forum and most people express their opinion. That being said, I would safely say that Matt's opinion represents a majority of users on here and most people who have seen this building in the flesh.
Guys, my best buds younger brother is an engineer who manages, monitors, and is responsible for the lower third of the building. He was kind enough to let me on a small tour. The views are amazing, and it looks fine from below. Jesus Christ you guys winge so much, Its
built, can't do anything about it. Yeah, its not the prettiest, but it's far from the worst building in Adelaide. If you guys want to winge about something, winge about this monstrosity.

Am I the only one who doesn’t hate this building?
Yes, it is ugly as fuc#, but at least it is somewhat interesting. The architects did more than just design a box and call it a day. It’s shit, but not boring. We have lots of shit AND boring buildings in Adelaide.

Nope, not the only one. I completely agree, interesting and polarising over safe and bland any day.

Whilst underwhelming, 203 North Terrace has an almost brutalist quality about it.
It's not a complete disgrace by any means.
And yes I like the other building posted previously too.
At least they are not stale glass clad towers.

If this is the alternative then give me the stake glass towers any day because none of these are it and y’all I feel betrayed by such tasteless comments. First they don’t free Britney then they free Bill Cosby and now this?
The nerve

Nah, I don't mind it either. I do think the lack of colour consistency in the pre-cast panels lets it down but no-one can say it's boring or a cookie-cutter box. I think as the area fills out around it it'll blend in a bit more. I'd quite like to see it painted white too but obvs that won't happen.

I don't mind this building (203 North Terrace, not the "cheese"). It's no masterpiece and I doubt it will win any architectural awards, but at least the precast colouring is consistent and I prefer the beige precast to the grey. But who knows, maybe next time I see it in the flesh I'll change my mind and hate it.
But it's above Dwell, the cheese, the Telstra Exchange, the Hilton, Napier and that new thing on Light Square at the very least in my opinion. Not a huge endorsement and we should aim higher, but there's no way this is the ugliest building in Adelaide.

Do
you have any pictures from this visit you could share? The views are the one undisputed thing this building has going for it.

I agree with Plasmatron. it is going to be hard to ignore this building. Picture17/7/2021 from down by Torrens Parade Ground shows how slender this building really is. End on, it is very narrow.

The pictures show the colour fitting in nicely with the heritage surrounds but is undone by the narrowness of the windows column

It is absolutely bonkers that the developer was permitted to build something with so few and such small windows. Even the Remand center has much bigger windows than this thing.
