On that note, why is our National Motor museum stuck out in the poxy old Birdwood Mill. Surely it would be more fitting here in Adelaide in a purpose built facility! Mind you ,our handling of the National Wine Centre left a bit to be desired.

Was the handling of the National Wine Centre really that bad? From my memory, all the issues came about from a certain rag crucifying it at every opportunity.

Part of the reason the museum is located at birdwood, is so the journey through some of the best roads in the country becomes part of the experience. Its about enjoying the drive, on any given weekend there are old classic cars heading up through the twisty roads on their way up there. Great exposure for our hills region to tourists aswell.
